CTET Feb 2015 Results Out, Where to Check?

The CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2015) results are declared today and candidates can check their results HERE or visit the official CTET website for results. The certificates will be dispatched after April 28.

The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 22 February 2015 and the answer keys were declared the same day, enabling the candidates to check their answers and assess their performance imediately.

The CTET is conducted by the CBSE for selecting the teachers all over India at various centers. This year, more than 7.64 Lakh candidates appeared for CTET 2015 examination that was held on 22 February 2015.

The CTET exam was conducted in two sessions — Paper 1 and Paper 2 and both papers in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ’s) format. There was no negative marking.

Paper I is for those who intend to be a teacher for classes I to V and Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. Those who wish to a teacher for both levels will have to appear in both the papers.

Passing the CTET is a must to get the appointment as a teacher in classes I to VIII central schools or Kenriya Vidyalas all over the country. The CTET qualification applies to schools of the Central Government such as Kendriya Vidyalas, Navodaya schools, Tibetan Schools, and schools under the Administrative Control of UT of Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and NCT of Delhi.

Some unaided private schools and schools under in state educaton boards may also exercise the option of considering the CTET, according to the CBSE.

However, “qualifying the CTET does not automatically offer a job in above schools but only a pre-condition or one of the eligibility criteria for appointment”, said the announcement. The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be 7 years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories.

There  is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate and those who have qualified CTET may appear again for improving his/her score.
