The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has announced the results of the Common Proficiency Test and the CA Final and the results can checked on the official exam results website at caresults.nic.in. The exams were held in December 2014 for CPT and the CA Final exams were held in November 2014.

K. Raghu, President of ICAI said that there will be new course structure coming for the chartered accountancy course from the year 2016 and the curriculum will be updated to match the global academic, technological and economic advancements in the field of accountancy.

Since Indian economy is in an upward growth, he said India would need larger number of accountants in the next four to five years and reflecting the need, ICAI has designed the CPT to prepare students prepare to take up professional superiority in the field of accountancy.

As the course might become more challenging, the new curriculum from the next year may pose difficulty to the maiden batch but said ICAI faculty is being prepared to clear the students’ queries during the lunch hours.

More than 2 lakh students appeared in the Charted Accountancy examination conducted by ICAI twice in the year 2014 but only 10,000 could clear the exams to become official accountants. Students can check the results on caresults.nic.in.
