The Congress asked BJP to disclose the names of “traitors,” who are involved in the black money issue, on Wednesday. Earlier, finance minister Arun Jaitley has said that Congress will be embarrassed once names of people holding illicit foreign accounts are made public.
Accusing Jaitley of “bluffing” on the people, Congress leader Ajay Maken warned BJP, saying, “The government should not try to blackmail Congress.” He said that the government should reveal all details in the black money case and “avoid selective leaks.”
Meanwhile, Youth congress president Rajiv Satava has tweeted in the micro blogging site Twitter, "A traitor is a traitor. He is neither a Congressman nor a BJP man. What is stopping Jaitley ji from naming the traitors?"
According to reports, AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh has also tweeted Jaitley should not bluff and asked him of depositing money to people’s account, criticising Modi’s campaign speech. He tweeted, "FM instead of bluffing people should tell us when he is depositing 3 L (lakh) in a/c of every citizen as promised by Modi in his campaign speeches."
He added, "Can it be a Diwali gift under Jan Dhan Yojna or we have to wait till 2019! FEKUISM at its best once again."
Finance Minister on Wednesday has said that the Congress party would be embarrassed when the government reveals in court the names of those who have stashed away undeclared income in overseas accounts.
Warning Congress to get set to be worried, he said, "Once we inform the court, the names will automatically come out in public; the media and Congress got this story all wrong."
Meanwhile, Jaitley has also made it clear that the Modi government has never said it will not reveal the names.
However, as per reports, Jaitely has declared on Tuesday, "The names of black money account holders will be public shortly… I can assure you there is no embarrassment I (BJP) will have when all the names are disclosed. There is some embarrassment the Congress party will have because of those names".
