Abhishek Bachchan who is excited about his upcoming film “All is Well” has revealed that he had one condition before signing the film with Umesh Shukla and that was — to dance with veteran actor Rishi Kapoor in two songs as he considered him the best from his father’s days.
Abhishek Bachchan stated that it’s his dream to dance with Rishi Kapoor and feels that nobody can match steps with him. “I had one condition with Umesh Shukla that I want at least two songs with Rishi Kapoor,” he said added Rishi Kapoor is still the best. “He is still the best. We had a great time,” he told India Today.
“It was a dream of mine to dance with him (Rishi Kapoor). I think nobody can perform a song like Chintu uncle. We were shooting for ‘Delhi 6’, the 39-year-old actor added.
Abhishek also revealed that he literally begged director Rakeysh Ompraskash Mehra to give him a song with Rishi Kapoor, during the shooting of film ‘Delhi 6’ which was released in 2009.
“I begged to Rakeysh Ompraskash Mehra to give me a song with him. He gave us a beautiful song ‘Rehna Tu’ but that was in background. So, I could not dance with him,” Abhishek told reporters at the trailer launch of ‘All Is Well’.
Abhishek talks about the plot of the movie revealing that it is about a dysfunctional family that is on a road trip, who don’t get along but the bonding happens towards the end of the journey.
The movie has an special performance by actress Sonakshi Sinha, an item number which the actor said is “fantastic”.
Reportedly, the actor said that his character starts being a selfish person and by the end things change. This is how a charcter should grow throughout the movie so that the people who watch the movie will question themselves.
Directed by Umesh Shukla, “All is Well” stars Abhishek Bachchan, Asin, Rishi Kapoor and Supriya Pathak. The movie is all set to be released on August 21.
