The West Indies bowler Sunil Narine, who was suspended for his illegal bowling action in the World Cup series but cleared for IPL 2015, is again facing similar charges.
BCCI said it received complaints again against the bowler, who is a star player of Kolkata Knight Riders. “A suspected illegal bowling action report has been filed by the match officials on certain deliveries bowled by Mr Sunil Narine of Kolkata Knight Riders during the Pepsi IPL 2015 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders played on the 22nd of April, 2015 in Visakhapatnam,” said BCCI in a statement.
Keepin in view the provisions of the IPL Suspected Illegal Bowling Action Policy, Narine will have to undergo biochemical analysis of the deliveries again in Chennai, said BCCI.
However, the player will be eligible to bowl in forthcoming Pepsi IPL matches, addded BCCI.
the sports body may request another biomechanical analysis of the deliveries in question at the ICC and BCCI accredited testing facility, the Sri Ramachandra Arthroscopy and Sports Science Centre (SRASSC) in Chennai, follwing the complaints, said Anurag Thakur, Secretary of BCCI.
