In a rare show of stardom Chiranjeevi has pulled curtains down on another megastar Nagarjuna Akkineni’s most popular Telugu TV show KBC in Telugu titled “Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu” that was last shown on Thursday, August 7, 2014 after a two-month non-stop attraction for millions of Telugus all over India and abroad.
While Chiranjeevi recalled the instance of Bhavani, an HIV-hit woman who turned to driving auto and running her family, who won only Rs.40,000 from the show but much more after the show from the well wishers. Siddhartha Basu, the so-called “Computer Garu” said thanks to the 8th regional show of KBC in Telugu that has created history on par with Amitabh Bachchan’s show since 2001.
While the next show will not be too far, Chiranjeevi stressed the fact with Maa TV chief Prasad that it would be only a comma and not a full stop to the show. But the show-wathers in neighbouring states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and Pravasandhras were upset that they can’t participate in the show and the Synergy Productions should answer their wish in the next season.
In all, the credit goes to Nagarjuna who has portrayed the human side of many people afflicted with poverty, desperation and despair in life and brought new hope into their lives. After his successful Annamayya, Ramadasu and Shirdi Sai, this is the fourth avatar that he has portrayed in real life and so nearer to TV watchers who were virtually glued to TV everytime the show was on.
