Century Question on ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu’ with Chiranjeevi – Episode 2

The second day of “Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu” TV show hosted by Chiranjeevi has escalated the tension levels for both the hotseat and for the hostseat equally.

When the first contestant faced the penultimate question, the host Chiranjeevi had to seek “Chiru Viramam” before going for it. Undaunted, the contestant Somi Reddy opted for elimination process and arrived at the right option for the question, “Whom did the priest of Golden Temple choose to give keys as a sign of religious harmony in 1920?”.

When he won Rs.50 lakhs, the euphoria was visibly more optimistic and the contestant went in for the ultimate question, which as Mr Siddartha Basu would always do, go for epic!

Out of one hundred sons of Gandhari (Mahabharata character), who was not her son from the four options? And Reddy was scurrying for cover as he knew that he would not remember all the names of 100 sons of Gandhari. As Mr Somi Reddy said, it was indeed a Rs.100-crore worth question.

The only way out is to know the mothers of all the four options at least. Despite Chiranjeevi’s repeated warnings not to jump for Rs.1 crore answer in haste, the contestant thought otherwise. And there his winning stream turned turtle at the last question. The answer was not Nanda as he thought but was Shrutasra, who was son of Ghatotkatch.

The entire second episode ended in disarray as it failed just short of creating a record in all the series of Kaun Banega Crorepati series in regional languages. Finally, the contestant had to leave but ironically his brother knew the answer as was made evident during Chiranjeevi’s query of his son’s option.

Nevertheless, Mr Somi Reddy left the podium with Rs.3.2 lakh. And today, there is a girl waiting to fill the HOT SEAT to watch out for.
