In a great relief from the ongoing suspense drama over moderation policy, the Central Board of Secondary Education has finally announced that the CBSE class 12th Exam results will be declared on May 28, Sunday. Last year the results were declared well ahead on time on May 21, 2016, saving more than then days for students to apply at different colleges.
This year, CBSE said it will follow the Delhi HC order on moderation policy, and continue to give grace marks to students in tough exam papers and implement the “No Moderatin” marks policy from next year as advised by the Supreme Court in its earlier verdict.
However, CBSE said retainng the moderation policy does not delay the results as it could be done within a day or two. Accordingly, after the High Court order, the Board took less than four days to prepare the new list of CBSE Class 12 results. CBSE Class 10 results will be announced next weekend.
“The results will be announced on May 28, Sunday in the forenoon. We will follow the five-point moderation policy as directed by the high court,” said CBSE. The HRD minister had on Thursday assured students that there will be no delay in the declaration of results.
.”The students need not to worry about the court’s decision as I ensure that justice be will be given to all. The CBSE will let us know about the results date soon,” Javadekar said on Thursday ending the unexpected turn of events which may delay the results further.
Usually CBSE announces the date of declaration of its Class 10 and Class 12 results on its website http://cbseresults.nic.in/ well in advance to end speculation in social and online media about the possible date but owing to the PIL in Delhi High Court, it kept silent. Now the Board itself has declared that the results will be announced on May 28, Sunday, ending the anxiety among the students and parents.
