The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which is the holding organization for the second Joint Engineering Entrance Examination [JEE (Main)] in April has released an advisory to students.
The exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode on 6 April, 2014 and in computer mode, on 9,11,12 and 19 April 2014. The different sets of question papers are used on the different dates of the examination but the difficulty level is the same, it certified in an advisory.
“It is brought to the notice of all stakeholders of this examination that the subject experts who have prepared these question papers have certified that the entire syllabus of
Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry has been covered in each question set by dividing the syllabus of each subject into appropriate number of units and choosing equal number of
questions from each unit,” said the advisory.
The advisory has also clarified that in every set, each subject carries the same percentage of easy, medium and difficult questions. “This ensures the same difficulty level of each set of question paper for this year 2014 also, as per the practice of the Board in the year 2012 & 2013,” it added.
