Burnley vs Liverpool
Venue – Turf Moor
Date – 26th December 2014
Time – 8:30 PM IST
Burnley are trying hard to scratch at the surface, a surface that indefinitely pushes them out of the relegation zone. But they just don’t seem to be getting favorable results. With only five points from their last five games, the Clarets look like one of the sides mostly to make the drop this season.
But Sean Dyche would think otherwise. His side have played some good football over the last month or so, but have been unlucky in conceding late goals. They have hardly conjured up goals in a league that boasts of massive goal differences and this could well affect their stay here.
With Danny Ings getting into top gear, he will be expected to deliver the goods. He has been involved in 50% of the Claret’s goals and a home fixture will demand more from him.
Liverpool’s woeful season continues with no wins in the last three outings. The Reds are yet to rediscover lasts season’s form and are currently languishing in the 9th spot. With injuries to some top stars ahead of the Burnley fixture, the onus will be on Gerrard and company to deliver once again.
Turf Moor has been sort of a fortress for the Clarets and Liverpool will look to break this barrier. Rodgers too has been in the firing line as of late and he will look to get them back on track with a win over the strugglers.

Liverpool – WWDLD
Key factors in the match:
Mario Balotelli will be back with side after being suspended for last week’s fixture. The Italian striker has been erratic for the Reds and this could well be a make or break performance for him. He will have to link up with Sterling and Coutinho to deliver favorable results upfront for the Reds.
Liverpool beat Burnley 4-0 in both legs of the Premier League fixture the last time the two sides met. This time however, despite the odds being in favor of Liverpool, Burnley might just catch them unaware and pick up 3 precious points to escape the dreaded drop zone.
