Gurgaon, a metro hub with techies and service sector employees tops the list of traditional sweets’ consumers and Bangalore is the overall highest sweets consumer, revealed a survey conducted recently. In oerall sweet consumption, Bangalore is followed by Mumbai, Delhi and Gurgaon.
Food ordering portal Foodpanda.in recently conducted a survey across the country and the findings reveal the sweets consumption preferences during the month of October as compared to other months. Moong Dal Halwa tops Gurgaon resident’s most favourite sweet, followed by gulab jamun and kheer.
While Gurgaon takes the lead when it comes to traditional sweets, it is followed by Delhi, Pune and Bangalore.
“Any festival is incomplete without sweets. Especially during the festival of Diwali, people make merry by indulging in a variegated spread of sweet delights, be it traditional or western,” Rohit Chadda, managing director and founder of Foodpanda.in, said in a statement.
