The long 5-day weekend with Durga Puja and Eid falling in sequence extending the holidays from initial 4 days to 5 days till Monday has nonetheless seen Hrithik Roshan’s big-budget film “Bang Bang” yielding dividends to the tune of Rs.175.61 crore in the first 4 days and an estimated Rs.30 crore on Monday, making the film race past Rs.200 crore in the first five days.
“Bang Bang” box office collections on Sunday was Rs 22.41 crore nett with total domestic earnings to Rs 94.13 crore (134.47 crore gross), slightly less than Rs.100 crore. Its overseas weekend box office earnings grossed Rs. 41.14 crore or more than $6 million.

Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Fox Star Studios, the film featured Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif and raced ahead in the box office collections despite an adverse review in media reviews. achieved this feat in the first half of its fifth day at the theatres.

“Bang Bang” is one of the top 5 films this year which topped the box office earnings on their opening day. With Shahrukh Khan’s “Happy New Year” still two weeks away, “Bang Bang” can expect to make it to Rs.300 crore by October 21.
