Hrithik Roshan-starrer “Bang Bang” showed weak box office performance with Rs.2.25 crore on its 3rd Friday, indicating a weak performnace despite no ostensible competition from any of the latest releases, while the upcoming multi-starrer of Shahrukh Khan “Happy New Year” is still a week away.
In its second week, “Bang Bang” remained steady though five budget films were released to compete for viewers and made a decent collection of Rs.170.17 crore in the domestic market. In India, its domestic collections are Rs.167.92 crore net (Rs.240 crore gross). On Thursday the film collected Rs.2.73 crore makeing the total second week collections at Rs.32.47 crore.
In the overseas market, however, the film has done some superb performance in box office and it is the best film in foreign market for Hrithik Roshan. It has done better than ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ becoming the fifth highest gross earner of all time in overseas market and 2014’s best with $12.2 million (75.1 crore).
