Bang Bang Box Office Collections Cross Rs.250 crore, Racing to Join 300-Cr club

bangHrithik Roshan-starrer “Bang Bang” has collected Rs. 250 crore so far and is racing towards Rs.300 crore before bowing out to the upcoming release of Shahrukh Khan’s “Happy New Year” on October 22, Diwali.
The film is currently in the fifth position of 2014 top box office earners behind “Kick” and “Singham Returns”. Going by Koimoi.com estimates, “Bang Bang” has earned Rs 135 crore in India and Rs 57.25 crore worldwide, reaching a total of Rs 250.75 crore in box office collections so far.
Otherwise, the film was the highest opener in Bollywood after “Dhoom 3”, “Chennai Express”, “Ek Tha Tiger” and “Singham Returns”, earning Rs.27.54 crore on its opening day. Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Fox Star Studios, the action romantic musical film was released on Friday October 1, 2014 in more than 4000 screens in India and about 700 screens overseas.
A remake Hollywood film, “Knight and Day” featuring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, the Hindi version features Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles and has Danny Denzongpa and Javed Jaffrey in vital roles. The storyline employs a crime thriller in pursuit of the killer of the hero’s elder brother.

With foreign locations and less Indian cities, the film was made with Rs.180 crore and Katrina Kaif played the lead female role against Hrithik Roshan.
