Bahubali 2 Worldwide Collections at Rs.925 Cr in 8 Days

Bahubali 2, the magnum opus of Director SS Rajamouli grossed Rs.925 crore in 8 days after its release on April 28, 2017, making its juggernaut beyond the records set in Indian film industry and the box office figures are not relenting as the film entered its second week riding high above the new releases. It is likely to finish the magic figure of Rs.1,000 crore by Saturday, which means in 9 days as against the expected 7 days.

Box office trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted: “#Baahubali2 8 Days World Wide Box Office estimates in India Nett – ₹ 587 Crs Gross – ₹ 745 Crs, Overseas : Gross – ₹ 180 Crs. Total – ₹ 925 Crs.” So “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” collected Rs.745 crore in the domestic market while it grossed Rs 180 crore in the overseas market, Rs.100 crore in the North American market alone.

Trade analyst taran Adarsh tweeted saying in Australia, Bahubali 2 was SUPERB. “#Baahubali2 is SUPERB in Australia as well… Till Friday [5 May]: HINDI A$ 1,520,229 [₹ 7.26 cr] and TAMIL A$ 692,818 [₹ 3.31 cr]”, he said quoting Rantrak figures.

In USA alone it has crossed Rs.100 crore, tweeted Adarsh. “#Baahubali2 is racing towards ₹ 100 cr in USA alone… Simply UNIMAGINABLE… Week 2 Fri $ 570,297. Await final numbers. FANTASTIC!”

In domestic market, Hindi version of Bahubali 2 has crossed Rs.285 in its first week of box office collections surpassing the figures of Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ last year and ‘PK’, the year before. In fact, it has surpassed its own record of “Bahubali: The Beginning”.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: “#Baahubali2 will surpass ₹ 300 cr mark before Weekend 2 concludes… [Week 2] Fri 19.75 cr. Total: ₹ 266.75 cr nett. India biz. HINDI. After the first Week, Dangal grossed ₹ 197.54 cr [7 days] #Sultan ₹ 229.16 cr [9 days; Wed release] and #Baahubali2 at ₹ 247 cr [7 days] for India market alone in Hindi. Taran Adarsh gave out the figures as, “#Baahubali2 Fri 41 cr, Sat 40.50 cr, Sun 46.50 cr, Mon 40.25 cr, Tue 30 cr, Wed 26 cr, Thu 22.75 cr. Total: ₹ 247 cr nett.”

Another trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai said:“#Baahubali2 also becomes highest collecting Hindi film for week 1 – Rs 247 Cr net beating #Dangal & #Sultan.” Baahubali 2 collected Rs 534 crore nett. in a domestic market throughout the first weekdays.

Rajamouli, wrapping up the London leg of promotion, tweeted: “With this last leg of promotion in London my job with Baahubali film series is completely over. A big hug and thanks to everyone.”
