For the fourth Friday in a row, the omnipresent ‘Baahubali 2’ refuses to go off the screens as the release of Hindi film “Hindi Medium” and “Half Girlfriend” have failed to evoke even an iota of relief for other film makers. Same is the case with Telugu, Tamil and even Kannada film makers.
In fact, Baahubali 2 is still shown in 1,275 screens across India, with theatre owners and distributors refusing to pull the magnum opus down. Though ‘Half Girlfriend’ and ‘Hindi Medium’ got about 2,500 and 1,126 screens for the release, they have reported under-occupancy in majority of theatres causing nightmare for those who wish to release their films during the next one month.
Otherwise, the box office collections have remained spell-bound with an average Rs.27 crore gross daily during the weekdays while it goes up in the weekends.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: “#Baahubali2 [Week 3] Fri 10.05 cr, Sat 14.75 cr, Sun 17.75 cr, Mon 7.95 cr, Tue 6.95 cr, Wed 6.25 cr, Thu 6.05 cr. Total: Rs. 460 cr Nett.”

As SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ (Baahubali 2) enters its 21st day or the fourth week, the film has earned a gross revenue of Rs.650 crore in Hindi or Rs.460 crore nett, surpassing all known records in Bollywood so far. And, it remains unstoppable.
Baahubali 2 worldwide box office collections have already crossed Rs.1,500 crore mark and the film is still cruising towards Rs.2,000 crore mark as today’s new releases — Half Girlfriend and Hindi Medium — proved non-starters like last Friday release ‘Sarkar 3’ of Amitabh Bachchan.
