Bahubali 2, the magnum opus of Director SS Rajamouli has crossed Rs.285 in its first week of box office collections surpassing the figures of the highest grosser ‘Dangal’ last year and ‘PK’, the year before. In fact, it has broken its own first part of the film “Bahubali: The Beginning” record too.
Rajamouli in a tweet denied any more sequels saying it’s wrap up for the franchise for ever. The Japanese and Chinese versions are also ready for release in these countries owing to the popularity of the film’s first part “Bahubali: The Beginning”.
Wrapping up the London leg of promotion, Rajamouli tweeted: “With this last leg of promotion in London my job with Baahubali film series is completely over. A big hug and thanks to everyone.”

The second week too began on a high score with Hindi version grossings approximately Rs.20 crore on the second Friday, which is phenomenal compared to the past record in Bollywood top charts. Dangal had grossed Rs.17.4 crore nett in December 2016 when its release ran into the Second Friday but Bahubali 2 is way above Rs.20 crore-mark, making it surely a film that would remain on top charts for one more week. Unlike other films which coincided with Christmas holidays or other national holidays, Bahubali 2: The Conclusion was released on April 28, just after the exam time for many schools.
