starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishna, Nasser and Sathyaraj in key roles , Bahubali 2 has crossed the Bollywood benchmark set by Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ and Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ this year. It has almost doubled the revenue in the first weekend compared to its first part “Bahubali – The Beginning.”
Director Rajamouli thanked the fans of Bahubali saying, “Its only natural that a big project like Baahubali faces hurdles during release. I must say that the enormous love and support that was given by Baahubali Fans made us cruise through the obstacles. Thank you everyone who have been with us for the past 5 years encouraging us at every turn. You have given us such a big success that we can keep it in our hearts for the rest of our lives.”
While numerous film celebrities showered praise on Bahubali team for the marvellous success, Tamil super hero Rajinikanth said:”Baahubali 2 is Indian cinema’s pride. My salutes to God’s own child @ssrajamouli and his team!!! #masterpiece.”
Even on its fourth day, May Day, remained elusive for many ticket aspirants though the ticket prices have started coming down to original level in many multiplexes in Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. By the time, the film enters its second weekend, Rs.1,000 crore target set by Shah Rukh Khan for Indian films may also come true.
