Bollywood’s latest film ‘Badlapur’ featuring Huma Qureshi and Varun Dhawan with Sriram Raghavan directing the revenge drama collected Rs.15.95 crore in two days.
The collections, according to koimoi.com show that the film grossed Rs.7.20 crore on the opening day, followed by Rs. 8.75 crore on its second day with one more holiday left in the weekend to make more earnings to touch Rs.25 core-target in the first wekend collections.
The film has done dent in box office collections despite featuring second-rung actors unlike Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Roy’ or Akshay Kumar’s ‘Baby’, which were able to collect merely Rs.10.40 crore and Rs.9.30 crore on their opening day. In fact, ‘Badlapur’ is the third highest earner in row after the two major releases this year.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the cast includes Huma Qureshi, Varun Dhawan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Yami Gautam, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte.
