Hear all selfie lovers! Asus unveiled their next instalment ZenFone Selfie so that your selfies get a whole lot better as it boasts of 13-megapixel front camera with a flash and a new ‘beatification mode’ to apply ‘digital cosmetics.’
The phone was unveiled at Computex in Taiwan along with various other products such as tablets, all-in-one PCs, and a smartwatch. However, the show stopper remained the ZenFone Selfie.
“A few taps is all that’s needed to soften facial features, slim cheeks, and enhance skin tone to add vibrancy, and all in real time — injecting instant verve into any composition,” Asus said at the event.
Users can also take selfie in panorama mode. The phone has f/2.2-aperture front lens and 88-degree field of view so that you can take a complete photo with your surroundings up to 140 degrees.
The phone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and sports a 5.5-inch Full HD 1920×1080 screen with a pixel density of 403 PPI. Zenfone Selfie has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 so that your phone screen remains protected from the scratches and it also has anti-fingerprint coating.
The phone is a dual-SIM smartphone with Support for 2G/3G/4G on one SIM and Support for 2G on the other SIM. On the connectivity part, the phone supports WLAN 802.11 b/g/n/ac, USB, Bluetooth V4.0 and also TDD LTE.
The phone does not seem to have much difference from ZenFone 2. The Zenfone Selfie has a 3000 mAh Li-Polymer. Sensors in the Zenfone Selfie are Accelerator, G-Sensor, E-Compass, Gyroscope, Proximity, Ambient Light Sensor and Hall Sensor.
The phone comes in white, pink and blue colours and will arrive in the third quarter. Asus did not provide price details of ZenFone Selfie.
