India’s cracking victory over West Indies in Dharamsala making Indian Cricket enthusiasts to relish all over, left Caribbeans on the other side making Cricket followers gloomy, as the West Indies squad is heading back home, withdrawing from the series suddenly.

West Indies team were supposed to play five ODI, one T20 and three Test matches in India, but the Caribbean players were included in a money conflict with the West Indies Cricket Board and both sides had a long debate over the issue, resulting in withdraw of the Caribbean squad from the middle of the series. Controversy started from the initial One Day and hammered the cricket lovers.

Both the teams at Dharamsala were revived and looking forward to go ahead in the series as after a long break, Indian team performed very well and some stunning performances from Men in Blue in the town of Himalayas made Indian supporters to cherish.

Indian team started off at a good pace, both the openers showed sensible cricket in the beginning itself. Virat Kohli, key performer in Dharmshala concluded 126 off 114 balls along with 13 fours and 3 sixes. Poster boy, Virat Kohli showed classy and smooth batting which is good news for team India for the long ahead 2015 World Cup challenge in Australia.

Suresh Raina also contributed much in the innings along with Kohli; both the players managed 138 runs for the third wicket partnership. Akshar Patel, left-arm spinner played crucial part in the game, he weaved 2 for 26 in 10 overs along with a maiden. Md. Shami continued his stable performance. Samuels from Caribbean squad showed some spirit, batsman slammed a century. However India won the series 2-1, with lot of confidence but West Indies’ decision made them feel sad.

BCCI would take some action against West Indies Cricket Board for their ill mannered behaviour over the dispute. BCCI and Sri Lanka cricket Board have agreed for the ODI series in November, to fill the schedule of West Indies series. Playing ODI series would be beneficial for the both Sub continent team for the upcoming World cup.
