Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update: Memory Leak Issue Fixed, to be Released Soon

With many Android phones opting for an upgrade to to Android 5.0 Lollipop, Android 5.1 Lollipop update, and the latest Android 5.1.1 update.

The latest Android 5.1.1. Lollipop update is reported to have fixed the memory leak issue that hit the Android 5.0 Lollipop users and even some Android 5.1 Lollipop users. Available as an incremental Platform SDK update in the Android SDK Manager, to be available as OTA updates for Nexus devices soon.

The Memory leak issue in Android 5.1 was reported by some users in November last but in March it was reported to have been fixed by Google but the company did not provide any update officially about it. Moreover, some users still report that the memory leak is around requiring an update to fix it.

With the latest update numbered the Android 5.1.1 to be released soon, users are hoping that the issue will stop recurring again.

In march, Google had announced the Android 5.1 Lollipop update with new features such as compatibility with multiple SIM cards, Device Protection and HD voice will be available soon.
