The makers of Ajay Devgn’s “Drishyam” have come up with a promotional strategy to reveal the trailer, taking a clue from a similar Hollywood trend which was started with the release of “Avenger: Age of Ultron.”
In his tweet, Ajay Devgn asked his fans to explore it.

The strategy is: fans have to click on the trailer link which Ajay Devgn has tweeted. This link will redirect to a facebook page of the movie. After certain number of clicks made by the fans, the exclusive trailer of Drishyam will be unlocked. Essentially, viewers have to pay in the form of clicks to see even the trailer, which used to be free in the past.
Ajay Devagn plays a role of Vijay Salgaonkar, who is a school droupout and a movie buff and becomes a cable operator, in the film which was a hit in Malayalam, followed by similar hit in Telugu re-make with Venkatesh and now coming in Hindi.
The trailer shows his character to be of a common man who is leadng a happy life with his wife and two daughters. The role of wife is played by actress Shriya Saran. Other cast includes Tabu and Rajat Kapoor. The latest tweet says that the trailer will be revealed at 4pm today and that the fans can watch the trailer exclusively!

The story is about the lead character, a family man with middle class tastes and fears. Tabu plays a supercop who is key in the story and Shriya Saran plays the role of Ajay Devgn’s wife and Rajat Kapoor is Tabu’s sensible husband.
The Original Malayalam version had Mohanlal and Meena with unprecedented collections and even the Telugu remake did very well at the box office.
It is a thriller, about a man’s desperate measures to save his wife, who commits an unexpected crime to save her daughter. Produced by Panorama Studios, Viacom18 Motion Pictures will release it.
