Mahrsh Babu-starrer ‘Aagadu’ entered the second week on a strong note with box office collections crossing Rs.50 crore in its first week, beating some Hindi releases like Khoobsurat and Daawat-e-Ishq released last week.
Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, ‘Aagadu’ is a second box office grosser of Vaitla and Mahesh babu combine in the Telugu film industry. Their last film “Dookudu” was equally a big hit.
Starring Mahesh Babu, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sonu Sood with Shruti Haasan appearing in a special dance number, the film is set in the backdrop of Rayalaseema factions with Tadipatri town of Ananthapuram, where the hero is posted as Circle Inspector and the plot relates to his past too.
In its first 5 days, the film collected Rs.31 crore worldwide and as it enters its 10th day today, coinciding the weekend, the collections have not dropped less than Rs.1 crore on any day.
As of the 10th day of its box office collections, it totals more than Rs.50 crore and is expected to cross Rs.60 crore in the first two weeks.
