Cylinder Explosion Death Toll Touches 82 in Madhya Pradesh

The death toll of Cylinder explosion in a hotel in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh is increasing as time passed by and the latest figure of death toll in the tragedy puts it at 82, with many more injured.

The blast was so powerful that the roof of the building too caved in, when the restaurant, located near the town’s bus station, was crowded with people having breakfast when the blast occurred.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has offered Rs. 2 lakh for next of kin of the dead, and Rs. 50,000 for the injured.

He has sent state Home Minister, Principal Secretary, State DGP to Jhabua blast site.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his routine tweet said: “Extremely pained at the loss of lives due to the cylinder blast in Jhabua. My deepest condolences to the families of the deceased: PM.”
