Sheena Bora, daughter of Indrani was killed in 2012.

Finally the Maharashtra police have recovered the car used for the last drive of Sheena Bora and the skeletal remains buried were sent for foresnsic examination at the JJ Hospital in Mumbai on Saturday.

“We have sent the bones and other skeletal remains for forensic analysis and are awaiting a report,” said the police.

Now the focus is on Raigad Police, who had successfully hushed up the case when they found a burnt corpse, suspected to be of Sheena Bora, in 2012. They were supposed to have conducted a panchnama and kept the DNA samples and other evidence at least as per the procedure in such cases. Was the hush-up done at the behest of the killers?

Coming to Mikhail Bora’s revelation, police interrogated him on Friday and took him to unidentified location. currently, he is one of the witnesses in the case and also it remains to be seen his complicity or ignorance in the case as is Peter Mukerjea’s.

While Peter Muikerjea was let off on Friday after questioning, his insistence on a written statement to be accepted in the case was refused and he was told to come again for interrogation in the case. He was under suspicion for being ‘gullible’ to the fact that Indrani and Sheena were mother and daughter though he was told repeatedly by sheena and Rahul Mukerjeas, his son.

are also probing Mikhail Bora’s claim that he was drugged by Indrani just hours before she and Sanjeev Khanna met Sheena Bora on April 24, 2012 and took her for what would be the last drive of her life.

Sanjeev Khanna, former husband of Indrani Mukerjea, who helped Indrani in the murder of Sheena, has confessed his role to the police and the victim’s passport was recovered by the police to establish the fact that she did not leave the country.

“We interrogated the third accused (Khanna) and he has confessed to complicity in the crime. We have also recovered her (Sheena’s) passport from Dehradun, which negates the theory that Sheena Bora went to the US,” Mumbai Police Commissioner Maria said.
