Within days after the incident of molestation against Rohtak sisters in Haryana, another issue has come up with the alleged rape of a 21-year-old girl by her friend since one month in Vasant Kunj in Delhi, on Wednesday.
The girl, who hails from Kerala, has been locked in a room by her friend and is a victim of rape by her male acquaintance for last one month. She was rescued by the police after they received a complaint regarding the issue yesterday.
The “friend” is a student in Delhi, pursuing his MBA. The girl has been brought from Kerala with him by offering her a job in Delhi. Meanwhile, once she reached Delhi, he has allegedly raped her and captured it on his mobile phone and began to blackmail her. The girl who kept quiet due to the same was restricted to go out and was locked by him in the room in an area of South Delhi.
According to reports, a police official said, “Once the girl reached Delhi, he allegedly raped her and captured the act on his mobile phone and blackmailed her into keeping quiet. He also restricted the girl from going anywhere.”
Meanwhile, while the boy went to his native place, Bhopal, the girl had somehow contacted her mother in Kerala and informed the matter. However, the issue was brought under light by her mother, who has alerted the Delhi police about the incident via her Delhi based relatives. When the police reached the spot, they found the girl in a room which was locked from outside and she was rescued by breaking the locks.
A police official reportedly said, “A police team that reached the spot on receiving a complaint on Tuesday evening found the flat locked from outside. The girl was rescued after the locks were broken.”
However, police has taken charges against the boy and have sent a team to Bhopal to arrest the accused.
